Meet Rochelle

It is my goal to help you end up in the best hands possible as quickly as possible on your healing journey.’

Rochelle earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2011. She has always had a strong draw towards the field of Physical Therapy as a competitive dancer, and as the daughter of a PT and private practice owner in her hometown, Ligonier, PA. Her drive to continually grow her skills and passion for providing patients with the best treatment available, led her to attend the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (IOMT) residency program in Woburn, MA. And in 2016, she earned recognition as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) after completing the Boston University Fellowship in Manual Physical Therapy Program. Rochelle worked at Boston University Physical Therapy Center (BUPTC) in their outpatient sports medicine clinic and also in their outpatient Center for Neurorehabilitation (CNR), where she specialized in caring for people with Parkinson Disease. Her work at BU instilled in her how different the patient experience can be when their PT is at the crux of clinical care, education, research, and implementing ever-evolving evidence based care. Now she’s excited to share her training and experience in her new hometown, Damariscotta/Newcastle!

Rochelle has had the experience learning first hand from leaders in our field in orthopedic manual therapy, Parkinson Disease, and the neuroscience of pain and chronic pain.

“I was stunned at how my daily quality of life improved while working with Dr. McPherson. Past experience with PT left me skeptical about how much I could expect, but she helped me loosen and strengthen muscles in my neck, upper back and shoulder and then how to keep them strong and supple. Her optimism and genuine care were a breath of fresh air. I have zero pain today and that still amazes me everyday.”
